Greetings and welcome to my personal webpage. My name is Harshavardhan Konka. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). Currently, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Computational Numerical Analysis at Deakin University.

Throughout my academic journey, I have remained deeply committed to conducting rigorous research in the fields of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Designing. This dedication has been evident in my extensive list of achievements, which includes certifications, professional memberships, and practical experiences.

My research interests span a wide array of topics within the realm of CFD and related disciplines, encompassing areas such as Aerodynamics, Multiphase flows, Thermofluids applications, Heat and Mass transfer, Fuel Combustion, Vortex generators, Phase Change Materials, and Turbomachines.

Presently, my doctoral research is focused on the Numerical analysis of Indoor transmission of airborne viruses. Using advanced computational techniques, particularly the Discrete Phase Model (DPM), I aim to investigate the evaporation of droplets and the transportation of viruses in indoor environments. The ultimate goal is to devise effective ventilation strategies to mitigate the spread of airborne viruses.

During my tenure at RMIT, I actively participated in the Formula SAE (FSAE) team, where I honed my skills in solid and surface modeling using software tools such as SolidWorks and CATIA V5. Additionally, my involvement in aerodynamics further fueled my passion for CFD, ultimately motivating my pursuit of a Ph.D. in the field.

Moreover, my proficiency in design earned me the opportunity to serve as a Design and Release Engineer at SAVIC Motorcycles in Australia.

With aspirations to contribute significantly as a CFD Engineer/Scientist, I am keen on leveraging my expertise to develop novel computational methods and conduct groundbreaking experiments. I am currently exploring potential opportunities in relevant domains and firmly believe that my blend of skills, knowledge, and experience positions me as a compelling candidate for research positions.
